The Post and Courier reports that construction activity is gaining momentum at the 200-acre Magnolia Landing site, with plans for the development’s first office building now moving through the City of Charleston’s Technical Review Committee.

The seven-story office building, planned on a 12-acre parcel at 115 Bachman Blvd., will include ground-floor retail, office space above, internal structured parking, and a rooftop penthouse office overlooking the Ashley River. The project marks a key milestone within the nearly 6-million-square-foot Magnolia Landing development, which broke ground earlier this year.

As a large-scale, phased mixed-use project, Magnolia Landing will require long-term coordination across commercial, residential, hospitality, and public infrastructure components. The development is expected to build out over the next 20 years, underscoring the importance of disciplined construction management, sequencing, and collaboration with city agencies throughout the approval and delivery process.
