Bamberg-Barnwell Emergency Medical Center (BBEMC) supports a rural, underserved community and was looking to expand its outpatient Cardiology Clinic capabilities within its facility’s current footprint.
Managing Expansion Without Interruption
Our team supported BBEMC as the project manager. We worked with the general contractor on a buildout of five new exam rooms in the existing 24-hour emergency medical facility. Space was also allocated for a nuclear camera imaging device.
Like many medical facility projects, BBEMC was challenging as we worked to avoid disrupting daily operations and staying compliant with Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) guidance. The work was also under the jurisdiction of South Carolina’s Department of Public Health (DPH).
BBEMC will have additional capacity to serve those in the community.
