MUSC Bamberg is located in a small, underserved community that lacks many of the resources of urbanized areas. MUSC wanted to leverage its existing space to meet the needs of the local community by fitting existing square footage to create a 24/7 accessible Healthplex gym and fitness center.
Creating a Space for the Community
Our team was hired to be the project manager to handle the buildout. We performed regular site visits and worked with the general contractor. We also served as a liaison between MUSC and the stakeholders who would use the space.
Since MUSC leases this property, we worked on their behalf to coordinate between their decision-makers and the landlord and established a clear line of communication among all parties.
