Located within MUSC’s Ashley River Tower, Shawn Jenkin’s Childrens Hospital, and University Hospital, this project focused on upgrading critical pharmacy infrastructure inside active hospital environments. The scope included the demolition and replacement of two existing pharmacy carousel systems, and the addition of a brand new pharmacy carousel system – work that had to be executed with precision to maintain uninterrupted hospital operations.
Managing Construction in an Active Healthcare Setting
Our client brought Iskagna on to provide project management services with a focus on coordination, sequencing, and risk mitigation. Working inside a fully operational medical facility required detailed planning and constant communication with hospital staff, vendors, and contractors to ensure patient care was never disrupted.
Delivering Critical Infrastructure Improvements
The team managed logistics, scheduling, and installation planning to support a smooth transition from the existing systems to the new carousel infrastructure. Through proactive coordination and clear communication, the project was delivered efficiently while maintaining the high standards required in a healthcare setting.
